I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

In spite of those words, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference evident, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
